Zscaler, The Cloud Security Company, and provider of the world’s most comprehensive cloud-delivered mobile, email, and web security solutions, has announced the appointment of Thomas Miller as head of North America sales The addition is part of Zscaler’s larger strategy to expand the company’s management team with experienced leaders who can help guide the company’s rapid growth.
“Cloud and mobility have disrupted traditional enterprise security models, requiring a new, innovative, cloud-based approach for protecting corporate data and preventing web based threats,” said Phil Hochmuth, program manager for security products at market intelligence firm IDC. “With its global security cloud, large enterprise customer base and experienced leadership team, Zscaler is well-positioned to lead the evolution to cloud-based security architectures.”
Thomas Miller was previously the president of Trend USA and led the strategic planning, operations, and key growth initiatives for Trend Micro’s U.S. business unit. “The market for Internet security is being completely transformed by the forces of mobility, cloud applications and social media,” said Miller. “These changes demand a new approach, and Zscaler is the only security company “born cloud,” with a solution built from the ground up to address this new reality. Zscaler is the future of enterprise security, and I look forward to helping our customers embrace that future."
